Peter Lynn designer Michel Dekker has refined the original concept of the Reactor to produce a very capable performance kite that is more then capable of
challenging its pilots and producing race winning results.
The Reactor II is a serious powerhouse, designed for the discerning pilot wanting the challenge and performance of
a competition kite while still retaining many user friendly characteristics usually associated with the lower aspect ratio models.
The Reactor II shares all the benefits and
attention to detail which is found in all of the Peter Lynn "Pro Range" series of kites. The highest quality materials, matched with state of the art production
techniques and stringent quality control, place this kite in a league of its own.
Performance - What the Reactor II was designed for!
This baby is FAST!!! In early 2009, Peter Lynn team rider Arjen van der Tol (aka Fast Arie) flew the prototype 2.2 Meter Reactor II to safely equal the
current world speed record at 117.8 km/h on the Ivanpah Drylake Bed in Las Vegas Nevada during the final testing stages. The Reactor II is truly quick! The ONLY kite to surpass the speeds
of this new prototype that day was a larger 3.3 meter sized kite. It is amazing to think what Arjen would have been able to acomplish had there been more sizes of prototypes available
other than the only 2.2 Meter at that time.
The Reactor II's refined plan form and slick thinner profile combined with the low drag bridle ensure stable flying even in the most challenging wind conditions or flying inland. This
was most prominent when the prototype was flown in conditions that saw gusts well over 40 mph! The Reactor II continued to perform and proved its stability and user friendliness.
Power is deliverd NOW! There is plenty of power on tap with the REactor II. This power is delivered in a positive and controlled manner throughout the wind window. Allowing
the pilot to direct the power into controllable speed bursts that not only increases the excitement, but also eases the worries of sudden unpredicted blasts that could disrupt your flying and control.
