The Double French Military or "Conyne" kite was invented by an American who was then sued by
the French Army over 100 years ago. Larger models flown in trains were used to lift observers high over enemy blockades
and used to spy on the enemy and give first warning in case of an attack (a dangerous act that is obviously no longer used today).
The design combines the best elements of a Diamond kite for stability and a Box kite for lift.
This Double Military box kite is 7 feet wide and 3.5 feet tall. It is made from tough nylon sailcloth with
fiberglass framing. A colorful 9 foot tail and fabric bag are included.
The Double Box French Military kite makes a great show by itself and is perfect for lifting tails, tubes, and other sky decorations.
