Your perfect entry into the world of 4-line power kites.

This is the kite if you want to get into any kite sport; Powerkiting, Buggying and Landboarding.   The Hornet II from Peter Lynn is a 4-line entry-level traction kite that gives you a perfect blend of easy kite control, power and stability.   The refined profile and improved deck shape make the Hornet II fly extremely smooth.   The Hornet II is a kite to do it all, an incredibly versatile kite at an affordable price.

The Hornet II flies very smooth across the whole wind window with good power control through the rear lines.   The power build-up is very predictable.   The Hornet II delivers excellent power to get you going on a board or in a buggy with ease.   The Hornet II is an efficient kite for its AR.   The Hornet II is very easy to control and you can position the kite exactly where you want it, also kite flyers less experienced with 4-line flying will not have any trouble moving this kite around.   The Hornet II is easy to launch, re-launch and land.

    Hornet II Characteristics

    Easy Handling

Because the Hornet II may be the first 4-line kite people fly, the kite has been developed to respond well to basic 2-line steering input. This gives you the ability to control the kite with ease while getting used to 4-line flying. Right from the start you will enjoy flying this kite, while slowly getting to know the benefits of a 4-line control.

    Smooth Solid Power

The Hornet II delivers solid power at the edge of the wind window. You can park the kite and fully concentrate on your buggy or board skills. However, when flying it across the wind window the power build-up is not too aggressive, which prevents you from being pulled right out of your buggy or off the board.

    Extreme Stability

The profiles used in the Hornet II give the kite the stability required in an all round entry-level kite. It is especially stable at the zenith or on the edge of the wind window. This allows you to focus on getting in a buggy or on a board, even in gusty conditions.

    Hornet II Features

    Medium aspect ratio

The medium aspect ratio gives the Hornet II Power Kite a good blend of flying speed and stability.

    Specially developed profile

The profile used in the Hornet II gives the kite solid power across a large segment of the wind window. It allows achieving a good speed while keeping the kite very stable and forgiving.

    Webbing reinforced cross-vents

The profiles contain carefully placed cross-vents to ensure all the cells of the kite to fill with air quickly improving stability and (re)launch. The cross-vents are reinforced with webbing to minimize the chance of cells ripping after a hard crash.

    High quality fabrics

With a smooth 40D Mirai top and bottom skin the deck shape is smooth, light and extremely durable. The 70D profiles ensure maximum durability.

    Double stitched bridle points

The profiles are connected to the lower skin with a double seam. This reinforces the bridle points and prevents the kite from tearing in this area when the kite crashes.

    Reinforced air intakes

The air intakes are reinforced with webbing increasing durability.

    Efficient Dyneema® Bridle.

While being very responsive and direct the stitched Dyneema® bridle is kept to an absolute minimum to increase performance and reduce tangles.

    Dirt channel & Velcro dirt-outs

Sand and dirt can easily be removed from the kite by using the Velcro dirt-outs in the wingtips. The dirt can move towards the tips via the Dirt channel along the trailing edge.

    Velcro bridle loop

The Velcro Bridle loop secures your bridle and prevents it from getting tangled when packing up.

    Dyneema® Flying lines

Dyneema® flying lines ensure minimum drag and stretch, making the kite more responsive.
